Operations and AI consultancy · Cape Town, working worldwide

We fix inefficient processes and automate the repetitive work.

We go into owner-led and mid-sized businesses, find what’s slowing the work down, fix the process, and automate what repeats. We use AI where it helps.

No pitch. You’ll leave with an outside view of where your business is losing time and money, whether we work together or not.

What we help with.

Most businesses do not have an AI problem. They have an operations problem that AI can now help with. We work on both, in that order: the operation first, the automation second.

  1. Operations

Bottlenecks, rework and waiting. Planning, scheduling, quality, stock, and the admin that grows around them. Fixed before anything is automated.

  2. Systems and information

The ERP, CRM and spreadsheets the business runs on: chosen, connected or replaced. Information entered once and available to everyone who needs it.

  3. AI integration

Assistants that answer from your own documents. Invoices and orders read automatically. Reports written up. Forecasts and checks that used to need a person. Built into the tools your staff already use.

  4. People and policy

Training. An AI policy your staff will actually read. Roles redesigned so judgement stays with people and repetition does not.

Three ways to work with us.

Most firms start with a Diagnostic. Each engagement has a defined deliverable. The price is agreed in writing before work starts, and it does not move.

Diagnostic

Three weeks
Where most firms start

A map of how work actually moves through the business, built from interviews across the floor and the office. A straight account of where time, money and errors are lost.

Deliverable: a prioritised plan of what to fix, what to automate and what to leave alone, with a cost and a payback against each item. If the honest answer is “not yet”, the plan says so.

Priced in your regionFixed. Comes off the price of an Implementation.

Implementation

Six to twelve weeks

We lead the change: the process redesigned, systems chosen or connected, AI tools built or configured, and your staff trained. One person accountable from start to finish.

Deliverable: the changes handed over working, with the numbers to show what changed.

Priced in your regionFixed price, quoted in writing after the Diagnostic.

Fractional lead

Monthly, cancel any month

A part-time head of operations and AI. A seat at the leadership table, a roadmap that keeps moving, vendors managed and results measured.

The next improvement starts once the last one has paid for itself.

Priced in your regionPer month. No contract.

Is this for you?

A good fit

  • You run the business, or the owner trusts you to run it.
  • You can feel the friction (rework, chasing, waiting, reports nobody trusts) but cannot see where it starts.
  • You want the person who writes the plan to carry it out.
  • You would rather see something work than read about it.

Probably not

  • You want a strategy document and nothing built.
  • Your main goal is to cut staff. We design for capacity, not cuts.
  • You want the newest tool rather than a solved problem.

How it works.

Three steps, start to finish. No jargon, no black boxes, no surprise invoices. Delivery is remote-first; on-site time is by arrangement.

  1. A 30-minute call

You describe the friction. We tell you honestly what is worth doing, and whether anything is.

  2. A price in writing

Scope, deliverable and price agreed before work starts. The price does not move.

  3. Done with your people

The work happens alongside the people doing the job, not only in the office. Changes are handed over working, staff trained, results measured.

Questions owners ask.

Why not one of the big consultancies?

A large firm sends a partner to sell the work and a team of juniors to do it, then leaves once the report is delivered. Here, the person who diagnoses the business also implements the plan, and stays until it works. It also costs a fraction.

Will this cost my staff their jobs?

Not in anything we design. We remove the work nobody wants (retyping, chasing, checking) and leave judgement, craft and relationships with people. The hours that come back go to the work that was waiting: quotes out the same day, customers called back, jobs done properly the first time.

We’re not a tech company. Is this for us?

That is exactly who it is for. You do not need engineers. You need a clear view of how work moves through the business, and someone who can change it. The technology is the easy part.

Do we need new systems?

Usually not. Most of the work happens inside the systems and apps you already have. If something needs replacing, you get the cost and the reason. We take no commission from any vendor.

Where does our data go?

Where you decide. Tools can run on your own systems or in your own cloud account, so nothing has to leave your control. We work under POPIA and put it in writing.

We tried AI before. It went nowhere.

Usually a tool was bought before the problem was understood. We start with the operation, where the time and money actually go, and bring in AI only where there is a job worth taking off someone. If there is not, you have lost nothing but a conversation.

Who you’ll be dealing with.

One person, from the first call to the handover.

I’m Kuven Mudly. I’ve written the strategy, and I’ve lived with what happens to it on the floor, including building the AI tools my own team uses every day.

You deal with me directly. There’s no account manager in between.
